KANSAS CITY, MO – May 4, 2009 – Three strikes and you’re not out - you’re a millionaire! Hostess®, the maker of America’s most iconic snack cakes, is kicking off the summer with the “Steeerike It Rich!” sweepstakes. One lucky entrant will win the chance to throw three strikes on the field of Royals’ Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City for one million dollars. This prize also includes a trip to Kansas City for the winner and three of his/her family members for 3 days and 2 nights.

Throughout May, specially marked family-sized packages of Hostess Twinkies®, Hostess Cupcakes and Hostess “Baseballs” – cup cakes with vanilla icing and red swirl “stitching” – will feature a “Steeerike It Rich!” sweepstakes entry code that consumers can use to register online at www.hostesscakes.com from May 4 through June 26, 2009. One lucky winner will be randomly selected from all entries. If one strike is thrown he/she will win $10,000. If two strikes are thrown he/she will win $15,000. If three strikes are thrown, he/she will win $1 million!
